This editorial was initially written in response to the comment on the article “Srebrenica and the historical context of the Yugoslav civil war” (at our “Foreign Blog”):

Wow. People don’t believe there was a massacre at Srebenica? That’s crazy. Have the mass graves been censored from the Serbian media?

EDITOR: “People” know that there had been massacres in (and around) Srebrenica- 1. in the summer of 1995 over Muslims, and 2. between 1992 and 1995 over Serbs- and that’s the proper label: “just” the massacre”, not genocide.

Definition of Srebrenica Genocide is manufactured in the Western controlled Hague Tribunal (ICTY), purely for the political purposes. Against the fact that international and UN forensics and other experts were able to forensically determine “the mass execution” and identification of 2,028 of Muslim war prisoners (men of military age). Western powers (who sided with Muslims against Serbs, in Bosnian civil war) and ICTY later inflated this number up to 8,000 men, providing no firm forensic evidence, but some statistical estimates and “demographic projections- while “secretly” relocating (reburying) the bodies of Muslim victims from the numerous Bosnian locations, to Srebrenica Memorial Park “Potocari”, in years to come, in order to achieve “the magic number” they badly needed.

While in Serbia nobody from the authorities, and nobody else serious enough, denies that during the liberation of Srebrenica by the Bosnian Serb Army (in the hands of some “rogue units”), the massacre, the war crimes and crimes against humanity took the place-
In same time the Western powers and their “Kangaroo Court” ICTY refuse to recognize the almost identical number of Serbian victims (mostly civilians) from around Srebrenica who were subjected to the massacres and horrible atrocities by the Bosnian Muslim brigades, from Srebrenica and Tuzla.

While the Bosnian Serb authorities and the forensic investigators (including the international bodies and experts) were able to identify by the name and other particulars (and bury) 3,267 of Serbian victims in Srebrenica region, the official Bosnian authorities in Muslim dominated and controlled federation (BiH) lower that number, Still, they had to recognize that in the same period and at same locations (around Srebrenica) at least 2,385 Serbs died in the hands of Bosnian Muslim Army.

Canadian general Louis Mackenzie, the former UN military commander in Bosnia recently explained why the massacre of Bosnian Muslim men in Srebrenica cannot be considered as a genocide, but rather as a war crime and crime against humanity- While the systematic massacres, ethnic cleansing, and total destruction of dozens of Serbian villages around Srebrenica, could (and should) be legally defined as a genocide.
General Mackenzie highlighted the simple fact that upon seizure of Srebrenica, Serbian army made sure that all Muslim women, children and elderly were safely evacuated to nearby city of Tuzla (providing for them the buses and trucks for the transportation) while the majority victims of the alleged Serbian massacre were captured Muslim soldiers and men of military age. Furthermore there was not any Serbian army plan for their mass and summary executions despite to the Western media and politicians’ claim (even ICTY couldn’t provide such evidence), but things “got out of control” when Serbian local military members, whose relatives were massacred previously by the Srebrenica Muslims, started to exert the revenge over the captured Muslim men…

You see- nothing is Black & White, except when you are watching CNN and BBC, then everything is probably- just B&W…

…The real truth is always somewhere in the middle, and as they say: Only the truth shall set us free…
